MUVICLA highlights the active role of museums at the Galician museum institutions meeting

Marcos Vázquez Marey, director of MUVICLA, took part in the meeting of museum institutions in Galicia, where he delivered a clear message: museums are not only spaces for preservation, but living institutions with the capacity to generate knowledge, strengthen collective memory, and culturally and socially energise their territories.

The event, chaired by José López Campos, Minister of Culture, Language and Youth of the Xunta de Galicia, also featured the participation of Anxo Lorenzo, Director General of Culture, and María del Carmen Calviño Rodríguez, Deputy Director General for Archives and Museums. The meeting confirmed that the future of Galician museums lies in combining strengths, building a shared cultural brand, and moving forward with a strategic vision in which MUVICLA can and should play an active role.
